Sharing Our Experiences
Along the Way
So
this all started with dinosaur tracks. Does that mean the very
beginnings of this hobby….or maybe it’s our obsession…are
millions of years old? It was in November of 2006 that we visited
the Dinosaur Footprints Reservation in Holyoke, MA. Though we
didn’t know it, we were just ‘muggles’ that day when we met up
with ‘The4Syms’. The Syms had this unusual piece of electronic
equipment with them and seemed to be searching. Being curious sorts,
Larry and I couldn’t help show interest. They in turn were happy
to explain their mission….geocaching. The little we learned that
day excited us and led to more research. Now we couldn’t wait to
get our own GPS. That had to wait until Christmas, which seemed
like forever when we wanted to get out and try this new sport on our
own. We did manage to wait and actually started caching in January
of 2007. Not much has slowed us down since…..except maybe each
of our full time jobs. It’s now December 2, 2008 and
we’ve found 763 caches as of yesterday...
